Announcing Vibecon 2026: Build a Game on Mars

Today we are officially launching Vibecon 2026, the first Dogelon Mars community game jam. Between now and 25 September 2026, we are inviting everyone in the community to build a small, playable, Dogelon themed browser game using AI-assisted development, and winning entries will take home prizes.

You do not need to be a developer. You do not need a team, a budget, or any prior experience. If you can describe a game, today's tools can help you build it. That is the entire spirit of Vibecon.

Register to take part

Ready to jump in? REGISTER HERE to sign up for Vibecon and join the community Telegram group working on the jam. It is the best place to share progress, ask questions, and build alongside everyone else taking part.

Start at the Vibecon site

Everything you need lives at ashbandicoot.com/vibecon, built for the community by Ash Bandicoot, who vibe-coded the entire site with Claude. It is not a standard info page. It is an interactive pixel-art journey across Mars, with the jam details posted on signs throughout the colony and a working arcade with a level editor waiting at the end of the hall. We think it is the best possible demonstration of what this jam is about: one person, AI tools, and a finished, playable result.

What we are looking for

Keep it small and finish it. The strongest submissions will follow a simple formula:

- One main character and one core mechanic
- One short level or gameplay loop
- A clear win condition, score, or survival goal
- Playable in one to five minutes, understandable without instructions

Any small browser game format is welcome: platformers, endless runners, puzzles, arcade shooters, clickers, match-3, short adventures, and anything else you can make playable in a browser tab.

The rules

The full rules are on the site, but the essentials are:

- Your game must run entirely in a modern web browser. No downloads, no installations, and no wallet connections.
- Every entry must include the official main Dogelon character sprite, or a clearly adapted version of it, in a meaningful way.
- Submissions must include a working link, a title and short description, your name or handle, a screenshot or gameplay clip, the tools you used, and confirmation that the Dogelon sprite is in the game.
- Games must be safe for everyone. NSFW content, hate speech, malware, scams, gambling mechanics, and unauthorized copyrighted assets will not be accepted.

Resources to get you started

We have prepared an official Dogelon asset pack and a full how-to-start guide written for complete beginners, both linked on the Vibecon site. The guide walks through recommended tools at every skill level, from GDevelop and Construct 3 to Phaser's AI agent, Bolt, Lovable, Replit, and Cursor with Claude or ChatGPT. It also includes example prompts you can use as a starting point. A first playable version of your game can realistically come together in a few hours.

Recognition and the community arcade

Approved games will be featured on an official Dogelon community games showcase, with the title, a play button, a preview, your name and social link, and the tools you used. Vibecon is not a one-off event. The showcase becomes a lasting community arcade that grows with every jam.

Selected creators may also be highlighted through social spotlights, community interviews, gameplay clips, and X Spaces, which will run throughout the competition.
